बेबस राधिका ने महसूस किया कि वह जंगल नहीं छोड़ सकती, लेकिन वह अपनी भक्ति का संकल्प भी नहीं तोड़ सकती थी। उस अंधेरे वक्त में उसकी पड़ोसी यादव दीदी फरिश्ता बनकर आईं। उन्होंने राधिका को ₹2,000 उधार दिए। वह छोटी सी रकम राधिका के लिए डूबते को तिनके का सहारा थी। उसी उधार के पैसों से राधिका ने पूर्णिमा पर सत्यनारायण भगवान की तीसरी कथा संपन्न की। पूजा के दौरान उसकी आँखों से गिरता हर आँसू एक प्रार्थना था—अपनी बेटी की सेहत के लिए और अपने बेटे की लंबी उम्र के लिए। उसने अपनी ममता को भगवान के चरणों में समर्पित कर दिया, क्योंकि अब उसके पास भरोसे के सिवा और कुछ न था।

निष्कर्ष: राधिका ने उधार लेकर भगवान का संकल्प तो पूरा किया, लेकिन उसका मन अब भी अस्पताल में भर्ती अपनी बेटी और जंगल में खड़ी कोसा की फसल के बीच झूल रहा था।
