​मुस्कुराहट की कीमत: राधिका की डायरी

​1. खुशी की पहचान (Identification of Happiness)

​हर मुस्कुराहट खुशी की पहचान नहीं होती,

हर चमकती हुई चीज़ सोना नहीं होती।

बहुत गम हैं ज़माने में हमारे अलावा भी,

और हर किसी की खुशी की कीमत हमारी जान नहीं होती।

(Every smile is not an identity of happiness; every glittering thing is not gold. There are many sorrows in the world besides mine, and the price of everyone's happiness is not my life.)

​2. जीवन का कोरा कागज़ (The Blank Paper of Life)

​कागज़ की किस्मत भी अजीब होती है,

अगर उस पर कलम ना चले तो खाली तस्वीर होती है।

जीवन भी कोरे कागज़ की तरह है,

किसी ने प्यार किया तो रंग ही रंग और धोखा दिया तो बेरंग होती है।

(The fate of paper is also strange; if a pen doesn't move on it, it remains a blank picture. Life too is like a blank sheet of paper; if someone loves, it becomes full of colors, and if betrayed, it becomes colorless.)

​3. ज़माने की हँसी (Laughter of the World)

​ज़माने भर का गम अपनी आँखों में भर कर हम मुस्कुराहते हैं,

ज़माना हँसता है हम पर और हम सहम जाते हैं।

दूर कहीं बैठा पपीहा रोता है हमारी हालत पर,

चाहने वाले हमारे हमें देख कर मुस्कुराहते हैं।

(Filling our eyes with all the sorrows of the world, we smile; the world laughs at us and we get startled. Somewhere far away, a lapwing cries at our condition, while those who love us smile upon seeing us.)

​4. टूटे दिल का खालीपन (Emptiness of a Broken Heart)

​गिरते हैं जब आँखों से आँसू तब कलेजा फट जाता है,

टूटता है दिल जब हमारा रूह तड़पती है मेरी और बस खाली मकान रह जाता है।

(When tears fall from the eyes, the heart rends apart; when my heart breaks, my soul suffers and only an empty house remains.)

​5. खुदा से एक सवाल (A Question to God)

​ऐ खुदा काश तूने भी प्यार किया होता,

तड़पता तू भी रो कर आँसू बहाता।

टूटता जब दिल तेरा तब शायद तुझे भी मेरा दर्द महसूस होता।

(O God, I wish even you had loved; you too would have suffered and shed tears. When your heart broke, then perhaps you too would have felt my pain.)

​आज का मज़बूत सवाल (The Strong Question) ❓

​"क्या 'ईश्वर' को इंसान का दर्द समझने के लिए खुद उस 'दिल टूटने' की प्रक्रिया से गुज़रना ज़रूरी है, या फिर यह दर्द ही इंसान को खुदा के करीब ले जाता है?"
