​उम्मीदों की कश्ती: राधिका की डायरी

​1. दिल का जलाना (The Burning Heart)

​दिल में रह कर दिल को तड़पाना अच्छा है

उम्मीदों को झुलसा कर निगाहों को छलकाना अच्छा है

दुनिया के हजारों गम क्या कम थे जो तुम्हें भी बदला लिया लेना पड़ा हमसे

 रग-रग में बस के दिल को जलाना अच्छा है।

(It is better to stay in the heart and torment it; it is better to scorch hopes and let the eyes overflow. Were the thousands of sorrows of the world not enough that you also changed? Having lived in my every vein, it is better to burn the heart.)

​2. अगर ऐसा हो तो क्या हो (What if it Happens?)

​उम्मीदों का आसमान जब टूट कर गिर जाए तो क्या हो,

इंतज़ार की कश्ती आँखों की रोशनी जब चली जाए तो क्या हो,

दिल की धड़कनें जब चलते चलते रुक जाए तो क्या हो,

आपको याद करते करते जब साँसें भी मेरा साथ छोड़ दें तो क्या हो। ???

(What would happen if the sky of hopes crashes down? What would happen if the boat of waiting and the light of the eyes vanish? What would happen if the heartbeats stop while walking? What would happen if my breath leaves me while remembering you?)

​3. तन्हाई और बेवफाई (Loneliness and Betrayal)

​ज़िंदगी के हर मोड़ पर जब रुसवाई मिलती है

ज़िंदगी जब रूठ जाए हमसे तो क्या करें हम

ज़माने के लोग करते हैं इस्तेमाल हमको

हमें ज़रूरत पड़े तो बेवफाई मिलती है

याद आती है तेरी जब तन्हाई मिलती है।

(When disgrace is found at every turn of life; what should I do when life itself gets upset with me? People of the world use me; when I am in need, I receive betrayal. I remember you whenever I find loneliness.)

​4. ज़माने की हँसी (The World's Laughter)

​तेरी राह से तेरी निगाह से जब हम दूर हुए

छलक पड़े आँसू इन आँखों से जब हम बर्बाद हुए

तुम्हें शायद मालूम नहीं क्या हालत है हमारी

ज़माना हँसता है हम पर जब हम निराश हुए।

(When I moved away from your path and your sight; tears overflowed from these eyes when I was ruined. Perhaps you do not know what my condition is; the world laughs at me whenever I am despondent.)

​5. रूह का मिलन (The Union of the Soul)

​हम तो चले उन पे मिटने के लिए

वो चले हमें आज़माने के लिए

मिट गए हम उन पर मुस्कुराते हुए

रूह मेरी चली है उनसे मिलने के लिए।

(I went to perish for them; they went to put me to the test. I perished for them while smiling; now my soul has departed to meet them.)

​आज का मज़बूत सवाल (The Strong Question) ❓

​"क्या रूह का अंतिम सफर वही है जहाँ इंसान दुनिया की रुसवाई और बेवफाई को पीछे छोड़कर, सिर्फ़ अपने प्यार में 'मिट जाने' की ख़ुशी लेकर जाता है?"
