​हिंदी: आपके गम में सुबह-शाम रोना ही रोना है, आपके गम में ही एक ज़िंदगी को खोना है।

​हिंदी: चाहत किसी की मज़बूर तो नहीं, मेरा प्यार किसी के दिल में हो ये ज़रूरी तो नहीं। जिसे देना था दिल दे चुके हम, पर वो भी हमें चाहे ये ज़रूरी तो नहीं।

English: Longing for someone cannot be forced; it is not necessary that my love resides in someone else’s heart. I have already given my heart to the one I intended to, but it is not necessary that they love me back.

​7. प्यार की दुकान (The Shop of Love)

​हिंदी: काश प्यार की कोई दुकान होती, अगर हमें उसकी पहचान होती। भर देते दामन खुशियों से अगर, उसकी कीमत हमारी जान होती।

English: I wish there were a shop for love, if only I could recognize it. I would have filled my lap with joys, even if the price for it was my very life.
