​When the protector becomes the predator, where does one go?

​The last few days of the vacation were lingering. The mansion was buzzing with joy because Govind was supposed to arrive the next day to take his wife and children back. Reena had lovingly prepared all of Govind’s favorite dishes, hoping that in front of everyone, he would maintain his dignity.

​The Arrival of a Monster

​At around 7:00 PM, a car screeched to a halt outside. The children cheered, "Papa is here!" Reena walked out with a smile, but it froze the moment she saw Govind. He was staggering, his eyes bloodshot, and his face twisted with a terrifying cruelty. He didn't greet anyone; he simply started screaming.

​A Senseless Conflict

​Reena’s brothers and uncles tried to calm him down, offering water and a seat. But Govind was looking for an excuse to explode. He pointed a finger at Reena and roared, "You came here to badmouth me? Telling everyone what I am? You planned this to humiliate me!" Reena pleaded with folded hands, but her silence only fueled his rage.

​The Peak of Cruelty

​Before anyone could react, Govind grabbed Reena by her hair and dragged her into an inner room, bolting the door from inside. For the next hour, the sounds coming from that room haunted the entire mansion.

• ​Mercilessness: He threw her to the floor and beat her relentlessly with a belt and a wooden rod.
• ​Deep Wounds: He struck her face, thighs, and legs until blood stained the floor. Her screams slowly faded into gasps, but his fury didn't subside. The wounds were so deep they wouldn't heal for months.

​The Separation from Children

​When the brothers finally broke the door down, Govind pulled out a knife, threatening everyone. He growled and grabbed Radhika and the other two children. They were hysterical, crying, "Ma! We want to go to Ma!" But he forced them into the car. Reena lay half-dead on the floor, watching her heart—her children—being torn away from her.

​Silence and Shattered Lives

​As the car sped away, a deathly silence descended on the haveli. Nani was inconsolable. When her brothers lifted Reena onto the bed, their souls trembled at her condition. There wasn't a single part of her body without a bruise or a deep gash. Reena didn't groan; she didn't speak. She just stared blankly at the door where her children had vanished.

राधिका की डायरी: भाग - 9 (खुशियों पर ग्रहण और खौफनाक रात)

​मायके में छुट्टियों के आखिरी कुछ दिन बचे थे। हवेली में सब खुश थे कि कल गोविंद अपनी पत्नी और बच्चों को लेने आएगा। रीना ने भी बड़े चाव से गोविंद की पसंद के पकवान बनवाए थे। उसे उम्मीद थी कि सबके सामने गोविंद अपनी मर्यादा रखेगा और शायद यहाँ का शांत माहौल उसे बदल दे।

​गोविंद का आगमन और बदलता माहौल

​शाम के करीब 7:00 बज रहे थे। अचानक हवेली के बाहर एक गाड़ी रुकी। बच्चों ने खुशी से शोर मचाया, "पापा आ गए! पापा आ गए!" रीना मुस्कुराती हुई बाहर आई, लेकिन जैसे ही उसने गोविंद को गाड़ी से उतरते देखा, उसके पैर ठिठक गए।

​गोविंद लड़खड़ा रहा था। उसकी आँखें खून की तरह लाल थीं और चेहरे पर एक अजीब सी वहशियत (क्रूरता) थी। उसने घर में कदम रखते ही बिना किसी का अभिवादन किए चिल्लाना शुरू कर दिया।

​बेवजह का विवाद

​रीना के भाइयों और बड़े पिताजी ने स्थिति को संभालने की कोशिश की। उन्होंने बड़े प्यार से कहा, "आओ गोविंद, बैठो, जलपान करो।" लेकिन गोविंद तो जैसे विवाद का बहाना ढूंढ रहा था।

​उसने रीना की तरफ उंगली उठाकर चीखना शुरू किया, "तुम यहाँ मेरी बुराई करने आई हो? सबको बता रही हो कि मैं कैसा हूँ? तुमने जानबूझकर मुझे नीचा दिखाने के लिए यहाँ बुलाया है!"

​रीना ने हाथ जोड़कर कहा, "गोविंद, ऐसा कुछ नहीं है, शांत हो जाइए। सब देख रहे हैं।" पर यह बात आग में घी का काम कर गई।

​वो काली रात और ज़ुल्म की इंतहा

​इससे पहले कि कोई कुछ समझ पाता, गोविंद ने रीना का हाथ पकड़ा और उसे घसीटते हुए हवेली के एक अंदरूनी कमरे में ले गया। रीना के भाई पीछे दौड़े, पर गोविंद ने अंदर से दरवाजा बंद कर लिया।

​अगले एक घंटे तक उस कमरे से जो आवाज़ें आईं, उन्होंने पूरी हवेली को दहला दिया। शराब के नशे में धुत गोविंद ने न मर्यादा देखी, न मायके का मान।

• ​बेरहमी: उसने रीना को ज़मीन पर पटक दिया और बेल्ट व पास पड़े लकड़ी के डंडे से उसे बेतहाशा पीटा।
• ​गहरे घाव: उसने रीना के चेहरे, जांघों और पैरों पर इतने वार किए कि खून फर्श पर फैल गया। रीना की चीखें धीरे-धीरे धीमी पड़ती गईं, पर गोविंद का गुस्सा शांत नहीं हुआ।
• ​निशान जो कभी न मिटें: चोटें इतनी गहरी थीं कि उनके निशान शायद अगले 6 महीनों तक भी न भरें।

​बच्चों का बिछड़ना

​जब रीना के भाइयों ने मिलकर दरवाजा तोड़ा, तो गोविंद ने अपनी जेब से चाकू निकाल लिया और सबको पीछे हटने को कहा। उसने दहाड़ते हुए राधिका और बाकी दोनों बच्चों का हाथ पकड़ा।

​बच्चे बुरी तरह रो रहे थे, चीख रहे थे, "माँ! हमें माँ के पास जाना है!" लेकिन गोविंद ने उन्हें ज़बरदस्ती गाड़ी में डाला। रीना अधमरी हालत में ज़मीन पर पड़ी थी, उसकी आँखों के सामने उसके कलेजे के टुकड़े उससे दूर ले जाए जा रहे थे और वह हिलने की स्थिति में भी नहीं थी।

​सन्नाटा और बिखरी हुई खुशियाँ

​गाड़ी के जाते ही पूरी हवेली में मातम छा गया। नानी का रो-रोकर बुरा हाल था। जब भाइयों ने रीना को उठाकर पलंग पर लिटाया, तो उसकी हालत देखकर सबकी रूह कांप गई। उसके शरीर का कोई हिस्सा ऐसा नहीं था जहाँ नीले निशान या गहरे घाव न हों।

​रीना की आँखों से बस आँसू बह रहे थे। वह न दर्द से कराही, न कुछ बोली। बस सूनी नज़रों से उस दरवाजे को देख रही थी जहाँ से उसके बच्चे अभी-अभी ओझल हुए थे।
