राधिका की डायरी: भाग - 7(अनकहे दर्द और एक नया मोड़)
मायके में दिन बीत रहे थे। राधिका और उसके भाई-बहन हवेली के पिछवाड़े लगे आम के पेड़ों से कच्ची कैरियां तोड़ते और नानी की पुरानी कहानियों में खो जाते। रीना के लिए भी ये दिन किसी मरहम की तरह थे। वह सुबह-सुबह अपनी भाभियों के साथ रसोई में हाथ बटाती और पुरानी सहेलियों से मिलती।
बड़ी बहन का भांप लेना
एक दोपहर, जब बच्चे आंगन में सो रहे थे और घर के मर्द बाहर गए हुए थे, रीना की बड़ी बहन 'सुधा' ने उसे अकेले में पकड़ लिया। सुधा ने रीना के हाथ देखे, जो काम के बोझ और तनाव से थोड़े रूखे हो गए थे।
सुधा ने धीरे से पूछा, "रीना, तू हमसे कुछ छुपा रही है न? उस दिन सरदार जी के घर वाली बात... और ये तेरे चेहरे की खामोशियाँ। गोविंद कैसा है? सच-सच बता।"
रीना की हिम्मत जवाब दे गई। उसने सिसकते हुए गोविंद की शराब की लत, उस रात पुलिस का आना और ₹20,000 की वो मुश्किल घड़ी—सब कुछ बता दिया। उसने यह भी बताया कि जेल से आने के बाद गोविंद ने उससे एक बार भी ठीक से बात तक नहीं की।
नानी की सूझबूझ
तभी कमरे के दरवाजे पर नानी खड़ी मिलीं। उन्होंने सब सुन लिया था। नानी ने रीना के पास आकर उसके सिर पर हाथ रखा और कहा, "धीरज रख पुत्री। मायका सिर्फ छुट्टियों के लिए नहीं होता, मुसीबत में ढाल बनने के लिए भी होता है।"
नानी ने तय किया कि इस बार रीना को ऐसे ही वापस नहीं भेजा जाएगा। उन्होंने रीना के भाइयों से बात करने की ठानी।
पर इस बार रीना टूटी नहीं। उसने राधिका और अपने तीनों बच्चों के मासूम चेहरों को देखा, जो अब यहाँ सुरक्षित और खुश थे। उसने अपनी आँखों के आँसू पोंछे और खड़े होकर अपने भाइयों और माँ से कहा:
"अब बहुत हो गया। मैं बच्चों के भविष्य के साथ और खिलवाड़ नहीं होने दूँगी। अगर गोविंद को अपनी ज़िम्मेदारी का अहसास नहीं है, तो मैं भी अब उस घर की देहरी नहीं लांघूँगी जहाँ मेरा और मेरे बच्चों का कोई सम्मान नहीं है।"
हवेली में नया सवेरा
बड़े मामा ने आगे बढ़कर रीना का साथ दिया। उन्होंने कहा, "तू हमारी बेटी है रीना। अगर वो घर नहीं रहा, तो क्या हुआ? यह हवेली तेरी भी है। तू यहीं रहकर बच्चों को पढ़ा, हम सब मिलकर देखेंगे कि आगे क्या करना है।"
पहली बार रीना को लगा कि उसके सिर से भारी बोझ उतर गया है। लेकिन उसे पता था कि गोविंद इतनी आसानी से उसका पीछा नहीं छोड़ेगा।
